Dr. Andrei Popescu

Dr. Andrei Popescu is a materials science engineer, with PhD in condensed matter physics (since 2012). His main activity was devoted to synthesis of thin films with special characteristics (bioactive, antimicrobial, superhydrophobic very hard) by pulsed laser deposition. Besides PLD, he conducted in international laboratories research on nanoparticle synthesis for drug delivery by chemical routes (University Claude Bernard, Lyon), laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LP3-Laboratoire \lasers, Plasmas et Procedes Photoniques, Marseille) and studies on laser beams interactions with metal and nanocomposite alloys (EMPA, Swiss Federal Laboratoires for Materials Science and Technology, Thun). The relevant scientific results achived during his research activity were published in 32 ISI papers, 5 book chapters and 1 patent, having the sum of citations > 280 and an h-index = 11, according to web of knowledge.
Dr. George Stan

Dr. George Stan is a materials science engineer, with PhD in materials engineering (sine 2011) having an extensive experience in magnetron sputtering process and coatings synthesis (especially biocompatible), as well as in their morpho-structural (SEM, XRD, FTIR) and mechanical characterization. He has 49 ISI articles, 399 citations, 2 patents, 2 book chapters and h-index = 11, according to web of knowledge.
